Solar Company Enters the Market with Largest and Most Powerful Cell
North East, MD (May 27, 2005) – Blue Square Energy (BSE), a developer and manufacturer of high-performance silicon solar cells, today announced it has shipped its first order of 300 mm silicon solar cells, marking the entrance of the world’s largest and most powerful silicon cell into the market. The cells were manufactured and shipped from BSE’s headquarters.
This shipment of 300 mm solar cells is the first of those designated to fill a $13 million purchase order received by BSE in April of this year. The company’s manufacturing line completed the first part of the order ahead of time and is poised to accept more orders immediately. BSE solar cells will be used in a variety of household appliances, including garden and accent lights.
“We are making our mark on the solar industry with our 300 mm solar cell, the largest and most powerful silicon solar cell available today,” said BSE president and CEO, Jeffrey Barnett. “Our team promised our customers that we would begin fulfilling their order in less than a month, and we delivered on that promise. Reliability and efficiency is what BSE will be known for, and we are well on our way to achieving that reputation.”
BSE’s 300 mm solar cells are manufactured from recycled silicon. The company also produces 200 mm cells. BSE cells and modules can be purchased directly from the company or through certified partners.
The company is currently developing a cutting-edge, proprietary solar technology and is dedicated to making solar energy affordable for every home and business.
